At any given point of time a maximum of 30 players will be training
in the Academy as “PERMANENT TRAINEES”. These players are selected based
on their performance in the State and National level tournaments. All
these players have to stay in Bangalore throughout the year for training.
These permanent trainees are provided all the facilities by the Academy
to excel at the highest level. It is an on going programme and players
continue in the Academy as long as they keep improving. Evaluation is
done once a year in March to assess the performance of the trainees.
Admission into the Academy is based on SELECTION and not by APPLICATION.
It is not open to all players.
Do you have any branches other than Bangalore?
At the moment the Academy has only one Branch in Pune, Maharashtra.
What is the right age to start playing Badminton?
The right age to start would be around 7 years.
Do you take any part time players?
At the moment we have no programme to train players who play
at the club level.
Do you have staying facilities of your own?
We have staying facilities of our own ONLY for our for our
Permanent Outstation Trainees.
Do you conduct summer camps during April / May?
We do conduct summer camps during April/May every year but
only for a limited number of students.
Do you take players for shorter stints?
Even though we normally concentrate on training only our regular
trainees who stay with us throughout the year, we do occasionally take
players for short-term coaching stints depending on the availability
of courts and coaches.
What is the right time for any foreign players to come to
your Academy?
